I guess I’m behind the curve as I didn’t know about this performance for the Barcelona Olympics with Freddy Mercury and opera singer Montserrat Caballe. What a great performance.

Thank you for the great comments.
Awesome site. Just want to add that along side his talents as a musician and showman, which are supreme. Seriously doubt that anyone will ever match Freddie.
His sense of humor and spirituality seems to prevail in his work.
Now will someone please tell me if Freddie is in that video on you tube with John Lennon in 1971? And what about the one where he is to record Bohemian Rhapsody. I am aware that Stevie Riks does some great spoofs on Freddie.

Thanks for the comment. I will check out the video and see if I can come up with an answer.
I remember hearing that the tribute concert to Freddy Mercury with Axel Rose, Annie Lennox and Elton John was great but that it highlighted the fact that no one could sing those songs like Freddy. No one has the range. Now they are making a film about him with Sasha Cohen. I’m not sure if they are using Freddy’s recordings, but really who could they possibly get to sing like that?
and he was only 35 when he died!
he was 45
